NIEC and National Identification and Registration Agency commit to working together to advance the delivery of their respective mandates.
In a meeting between NIEC Chairperson Ms. Halima Ismail and National Identification and Registration Agency (DADSOM) director general that took place at NIEC HQ in Mogadishu on 27th September 2022, the two agencies agreed to enhance their cooperation.
Areas of potential cooperation that were highlighted in the meeting include the identification and registration of voters which the NIEC is mandated. The existence of a civic register will greatly contribute to the success of this important electoral event.
