NIEC Commissioners and staff members held meeting to discuss election preparations

NIEC Commissioners, senior advisors and managers held a three-day meeting in Mogadishu.
The meeting focused on the implementation of the political Parties law, preparations for the registration process, finalization of the draft of electoral timetable & budget, the harmonization of other laws, the commission’s structure and It’s functions, the dispute resolution process and election security.
The quarterly Report to be submitted to Parliament was also discussed.
NIEC Chairperson Halima Ismail Ibrahim, in her closing remarks commended the staff members for their formidable work.
