Six Political parties issued with temporary certificates of registration On November 23rd, NIEC Office of Political party’s registration issued temporary certificates of registration to six political parties at a ceremony held at the NIEC headquarters in Mogadishu.
The six political parties are:
• Xisbiga Horu socodka shaqaalaha
• Xisbiga qaran
• Xisbiga dhaqaaqa soomaliyed
• Xisbiga SANU
• Xisbiga midnimada shacabka
• Xisbiga Hogaan Qaran
Speaking at the ceremony, Commissioner Abdirahman Osman Dirir called on the new political parties to work towards achieving permanent party status given they are currently temporarily registered.
Commissioner Hussein Abdi Adan told the political parties that the commission conducts the evaluation of political parties to ensure that they work within the confines of the law.
The six newly registered political parties thanked the commission for their work and gave an assurance that they will fulfill the stipulated requirements so that they may obtain permanent registration status.
The six newly registered political parties bring the total number of registered parties to 63
