During the fifth General Assembly meeting of the Arab Organization for Electoral Authorities held in Amman on Aug 22, 2022, NIEC Chair, Ms. Halima Ismail was elected as the chairperson of the organization.
NIEC delegation of the chair and a commissioner, Hussein Abdi attended this Arab EMBs General Assembly meeting is which is held once every two years.
The presidents and members of the delegations of Arab electoral departments, the head, and members of the executive office of the organization also attended the meeting.
The organization made efforts to establish the Arab Youth Network in the elections and reviewed the priorities of its work during the coming period, as well as a presentation of the most important achievements of the Arab Women’s Network in the elections and the election of the steering committee of the Arab Network for Youth in the elections.
The meeting also ratified the annual report of the organization and the steering committee of the Arab Youth Network in Election.
