A two-day training workshop for NIEC staff was conducted in Mogadishu from the 14th to the 15th August.
The workshop was conducted by Creative associates in conjunction with USAID.
The training workshop was facilitated by electoral experts who gave lectures on electoral cycle, electoral legal framework, electoral planning and the basics of process mapping.
In his opening remarks at the start of the training workshop, the NIEC secretary general Mr. Abdirizak Bashir thanked the partners for conducting the training whose aim is to build the capacity of the NIEC staff as they gear up to conduct the up coming elections.
