A delegation from NIEC and Office of the registrar of political parties, on the 7th July, paid a visit to several political party offices.
The visit was meant to take stock of the political party’s office operations and staff members.
The delegation was led by NIEC commissioner Abdirahman Osman Dirir, registrar of political parties Mr. Mohammed Omar Haydara,director general office of political parties registration Mr. Mohammed Mohamud Hassan(Sandeere), senior advisor monitoring and evaluation Mr. Ahmed Hassan and Mr. Abdinasir Mohammed Hirsi the director of legal affairs.
The delegation focus was mainly on the political party’s physical office and address, ensure the political parties adhere to the political party’s law, the organizational structure, gender parity, finances and ensure the political party’s have the required number of staffs.
Its not the first time officials from NIEC and the political parties registration office has paid a visit to political parties offices.
The Office of political parties registration has visited 26 political parties, which are temporarily registered, to ensure they adhere to the laid down rules as stipulated in the political parties act.
The PP registration office looks forward to visit all political parties offices by August 2019.
