On 1st Feb 2018, NIEC has awarded Certificate to successful candidate for parliamentary seat of Somali Parliament at NIEC HQ.
Mr. Nuur Iidow Beyle had been certified as a Member of Parliament after the By-election on Sunday 28th Jan, 2018. Commission Chair Madam Halima Ismail has awarded him with the presence of Commissioner Hussein Abdi Aden and Commissioner Abdirahman Dhere.
Thereafter Mp Nur Idow beyle have appreciated how NIEC conducted the By-election on their best effort based on Neutralism and Honesty at Jowhar town of Hirshabelle State. MP Nur Idow Beyle have encouraged NIEC team to double their efforts in order to carry out the implementation of one person one vote election by 2020 across the country.
During the 2nd Round there were two candidates who vied for vacant MP position such as Mr. Nur Idow Beyle who had 27 votes and Abdullahi Mahamed Ahmed (Sanbaloolshe) who got 24 votes. Mp Nuur Idow Beyle won the seat with 3 votes from Candidate Abdullahi Sanbaloolshe.
There were 4 Vacancies from Somali Parliamentary (Lower House) which one has been occupied by Nuur Idow Beyle, and the other 3 seats will be carried out soon.
